I have a french trotter that was brought over from France, the woman I bought her off didn't have her name on the passport.
the passport is in french how do I go about getting my mare in my name?

Whilst I dont know about trotteurs, as a first reply, I assume you would need to contact the Haras Nationaux or SIRE at Pompadour, in France.
Both have a website and a contact us, There is a helpful English speaker at SIRE, on reception, that I do know, as she is helping me, with UK to French papers. Her name is Helene, drop her a mail.

another quick question (sorry)!
right in the back of my.passport I found this...
carte d'immatriculation au fishies central des équides (SIRE)
her dad's details her mum's and then proprietaires monsieur christian aubin.
on the back on the bottom it says signature du ou des vendeurs and a signature, then signature du ou.des.acheteurs which is blank... what's this?!

That's the ownership document I mentioned.

Your seller should have filled this and sent it back to register the horse i their name and it looks like they didn't. Your horse is still registered as being owned by Christian Aubin.

Mine didn't either but as he was a dealer who bought the horse to sell, it wasn't worth doing it.

I sent mine back and as with yours it wasn't signed by the seller (vendeur) so I had to include proof of purchase. If you are in France you get it back with the new owner on it but they keep this if you are outside of France

Ok, so is it not.possible for me.to sign the acheteurs which I am guessing is buyer? even though I didn't buy christian.
I think she was taken to auction when she was bought over here.

Yes can you can sign it but you need to send it back with your fee to change the ownership. As you do not have the sellers signature you need something to show proof of purchase, I sent the bill of sale.

Because you are based in the UK, you will not get the card back, they will keep it.

Doesn't matter how she was sold, the buyer should have sent it back to get the ownership changed and if it says proprietaires monsieur christian aubin and you didn't buy from Christian then it looks like they didn't bother.

no reply yet from them.
however I have found her on their website now every horse he has bred from her mother including my mare has a breeding ban on it. is this HIS breeding ban as he's still their owner on the website OR are they not to be bred from?
