My lad has always had a lovely clean sheath which I've never had to clean until this year. The whole yard spent two weeks on very limited turnout earlier this year when we had all the snow and he got quite mucky so I had to clean it. I just used plain warm water. Ever since then he's been producing a fair amount of smegma and has required regular cleaning. He's not uncomfortable, is happy for me to handle it and any small amount of swelling disappears after a clean so I'm not worried but would prefer it back the way it was.

I'm pretty sure its cos I had to interfere. Any top tips on restoring the balance?
