Well my first ever whippet is home! She's been great so far. We've had 2 minor accidents but that was because we were too slow and she's eating and drinking well and terrorising the cat already :) She slept brilliantly, although I didn't as I was on nervous mummy watch listening for any sound that might mean she needs to go out, but one pee at 4.30 then fine till 7 this morning.

I think I spent most of yesterday afternoon in hysterical laughter, pouncing on toys is sooooo much fun! She is now zonked out in the crate giving me time for a cup of tea and some browsing. Anyway, here are some pictures and a short video (please excuse the living room (garden) chairs. We are still waiting for our couch to be delivered!).

Just home and feeling a little bewildered

Currently, under the coffee table is her favourite place, also, the rug appears to need killing on a regular basis!

And here is a short video of her getting rather excited.

Oops, quite a lot of pictures there! Hope you enjoyed :)

Thank you all!! :) We think she's gorgeous but we might be a bit biased. Although she does need to learn to stop running full pelt into the coffee table, I swear she has a head made out of concrete!! She is currently doing laps of the living room :)

very cute! maybe when she head butts the coffee table its cos she cant stop on the wood floor? and her speed just propells her forward? really dont want a pup with a head injury!!!! personally i would remove coffee table for a few days til she learns to stop!!!!!! tho it may stop some of your laughter... leggy pups are so entertaining. enjoy the puppy days.sadly they grow too fast..........

Soooooooo lovely!:)

We have one of those and our home has alays held one or two longdogs cause they are such great fun!!

I did spot that your OH was sucking her ear.............Think you may of lost his love to another?!:D:D

Don't worry, the running into the coffee table isn't because of the floor, its on the rug, weirdly she hasn't run into anything on the wooden floor!! Although I think she's learning, no coffee table collisions so far today. Her and the cat seem to be starting to make friends as well, I didn't think it would happen this quickly!

And yes, OH is in love too, I may be competing for affection for Valentine's Day :)

I have been stopping myself from looking at this post for ages, I've been wanting a puppy again for ages, or more specifically a whippety puppy, but just dont have the space and/or time.

however Freya is sooooooo grogeous, i'm wondering if i could find the space and time!! If you get bored of her, pop her in the post to me, sure she'll fit in just fine!

You know you want one!! :D Unfortunately, Freya is definitely spoken for, she isn't going anywhere! :D :D Although, she is a lot of hard work... totally worth it though. Plus, it's generally an hour of total madness then she zonks out again (which is where she is now after chasing the cat around for half an hour!).
