friction burns and brusied heels

jays on box rest with friction burns from the ice and bruised heels, anyone got any tips to help it heal?

no advice but ive never heard of horses getting friction burns before? is it just like a graze?

yeah, apprently its because the mud is frozen in bit ruts and when they walk on it the ice rubs the skin

hes pretty sore, farrier thinks a few days in will help but then hes back out on it again

I've never dealt with this before, but what about poulticing his feet with loads of padding and a big soft bed? xx
