Just read this on IH forum written by Sandra Williams who has been working with The Horse Trust.

Dear All,

I don’t know if you are aware of the fact that Jamie Gray is due to have returned to him at Spindles Farm the Donkeys and Shetlands rescued from DEATH earlier this year, it has also been said that over 80 colts will go to the largest Meat Market in England. Are the other horses safe? I don’t know. Friday 18th is the deadline for the Donkey’s and Shetlands.

The staff at The Horses Trust are devastated and after my visit there today when I was honoured to bring some of the Donkeys in from a lovely day out in the sun, I had a lump in my throat at the thought of these dear little souls going back to HELL, 3 generations. The Horses Trust Staff are expected to return them in person.

They are currently waiting for a petition which I am hoping you can source from their website anytime soon www.horsetrust.org.uk

The Home is working hard at keeping this atrocity high profile, The Sun, The Mail and ITV are keeping this on the pages and local news but can we do more? Please consider forwarding this to friends, family, your local MP and anyone else on your e-mail list.

Thank you for your time and continued support, if I can answer anything else please contact me, otherwise you should be able to access NEWS from their website

On behalf of these wonderful animals, thank you

Sandra J

I just don't understand this case at all.
If he let any horse starve to death or dehydrate to death surely he would be banned from keeping animals. Was he found innocent ,someone please explain this case to me.

I think the judge cant be an animal lover or he would do as Judge Dale grisinsky does for the ASPCA, hye has awarded horses over in simalar cases to them.DOES not return them in 98 per cent back to owner.

Any way yes the pertition with Horse trust will be up and running in a couple of hours. or they said right to your MP or to the judge aND apeal to him to change his desision.

if the shetlands and donkeys are his pets then I presume he'd be in contempt of court for lying if he gets them back and they subsequently end up being sent for meat or to auction ?

hope that one of the welfare agencies keeps visiting him to keep an eye on them and to count the number still there once they've been returned and that he's asked to account for the whereabouts of all of his 'pets'

poor poor animals

The case has not yet been judged. Because of that the horses held are still the property of the accused and as such would have to be returned to or disposed of in way laid down by the hearing judge and to the satisfaction of the accused.
There was, I believe, no order made when the horses were siezed removing them from the accused ownership.
It is sad and it is unbelievable :-(

at least the H&H report states that the money from the sale of the horses will go towards the RSPCA costs of caring for the horses and not directly to JG

a very small consolation but still hoping that the petition and our letters can stop this happening

From the NEWC - An on-line petition has now been set up in order that members of the public may add their support to the request that the Court ruling last week in Oxford be overturned and the horses, ponies and donkeys be left with the welfare agencies and not either returned to the family or be sold at public auction until after the 12 counts of animal cruelty have been dealt with at trial. The petition is now live and available for signature http://www.gopetition.com/online/18321.html

Please pass the word
Thanks Emma
