I've booked my boy in for castration on friday, i knows its a routine operation but i'll be worried sick. He has very bad OCD and i'm worried they will pull him about. He's 9 and i only wish i'd had it done when he was younger. He has an abscess on his prostrate and needs to have it done to stop him producing testosterone, which will prevent it from coming back. He's been through alot just lately with his joint problems. Poor little man, vibes for friday please if you have any spare.

He'll be fine, I'm sure. Bless him.

Vibes for Jake for Friday and huggles for you.

I am sure he will be fine, my fella has an enlarged prostate and it was one of the main reasons we got his bits off.

They won't pull him around, especially if they know his elbows are an issue and it is a really easy procedure

He suffers alot from diarrhea too which the vet said can be caused by the condition. So fingers crossed he will be lots better when he has recovered. Be glad when its over and he's back home. He is terrified of the vets.

He should be out the same day, a little groggy, but none the worse for wear.

I have never had a dog done yet (Harvey will be soon though), but none of our cats ever noticed anything missing.

Did you get the email about feed? Someone on here could recommend in that department much better than me, if you want to give him a try on something else.

(((Hugs))) I know how much he means to you xx

I know what you mean. It's a minefield. I think swapping over slowly, over the course of a week or so, would be ok. That's what I did with Harvey.

Problem is, so many dogs adore Bakers Complete that it's not always easy to get them to try something else, even if we know it's better for them nutritionally.
