Ok. My friend has a horse on loan, basically because the owner couldnt be bothered to come to the yard twice a day to see to the horse, especially when she got a new boyfriend. The horse is an ex-trotter...it has the worlds crappest conformation, can't canter and has recently needed surgery for a growth on his hoof. He has remedial shoeing every 4 weeks, which my friend pays for as well as all the vets bills and sh'es really putting the effort in re-schooling this horse.
Basically, she adores him and wants to buy him. The owner will sell for a completely ridiculous price even though shes not bothered about him because she knows my friend wants him. if she advertised him for sale nobody would buy him considering he's still undergoing treatment and has 4 legs that don't match. Should she pay the ridiculous asking price or call the owners bluff? Any opinions/thoughts ?
