My farrier says my 24yr old tb has developed a tumour on his frog. He says it's pretty rare. Not painful as yet but wondering if anyone has any experience of this?

I think you might need a biopsy to confirm a tumour; it would be rare but not impossible.
This article is about keratomas, which are usually a tumour of the horn but have been reported in the frog. It doesn't mean yours is a keratoma though, or even a tumour (as other things can mimic tumours) so I would recommend investigating further.

Thanks wkiwi. Read a few articles since about Keratomas. The vet will find it interesting I'm sure. Wonder if I should get him onto it straight away. Seems they can develop very quickly. Whatever it is has appeared in the six weeks since his feet were last dressed.
