Couldn't put up with the state of his mane any longer!!! Also he seems to have come through winter *ahem* well...... It's surprising how much they put on in the few weeks we had bad weather, even though he has no hard feed, but he had extra hay in feild due to no grazing....still he's back into proper work now so he will tone up in no time at all - hopefully all going well we have a show in march!!
