Well i took my lovely boy to his first "big" show at the weekend in the novice m&m workers we ended up getting there way to early and then the heavens opened so he had to stay on the boy for 3hours 
poor boy but he seemed very happy munching hay watching at the horses go past then we decided it would be best to tack him up and start working him ready for his class he was quite hot and spooky in the warm up but there was a group of kids playing in a tree 
and they wouldnt come out then the other warm up ring got a little less full so we took him in for a jump he ws really good then i noticed my class had started and they were not walking the course so i had one person before me i had to study her round and math got a bit restless being made to stand still anyway.. we went in i went i nice shade of white and said hello to the judge ect we started our round lots of fences hes never ever seen before but he jumped every one of them with about a foot to spare haha he kept his canter steady and didnt try to run at any fences 
then we went straight into the other ring to do his ridden this was not our best haha he was a little fresh and abit snatchy with his reins also our straight line was not straight haha and his canter was so bouncy i though i was coming off but hey its his first time doing anything like this and he was amazing we were called in for placing and he got
4th judge was lovely said he needs his clip to grow out ( i clipped lots of stars on his bum last year oops) and i need to be more attacking to the fences and with my riding ( fair comment i was alittle uselesss on top) also couldnt belive he was 14 she thought he was about 5 haha
so we were all very happy with him came home and went to get my little old man from the field he looked misrable so brought him in and he coliced hes never coliced with me and iv never had a horse colic so iv never had to put it into practice called the on call vet who was about 30mins away by this point jack was trying to get down and roll and kicking his belly then about 10mins before the vet came he perked up by the time the vet got out of his car he was quite happy having a fuss and trying to find some food vet checked him over gave him to injecions and asked us to monitor him so after waking up at 6:30am and getting into bed after making sure jack was fine at half 11 it was a hetic monday but jacks now back to normal and math enjoyed his day of getting plastered in mud ..horses who would have them!
