Although Shwmae does not appear to have been officially closed as a company the FB page has gone and the web site claims to be preparing for a sale.

G-Gee Hoods has appeared on FB and I wish the girls well with their new venture.

Sadly though there has started to be the odd comments about purchases not being received. That said it might just be the odd glitch, I hope so as one of the Shwmae directors wrote to me regarding the outstanding CCJ payment to me. She said and here I quote 'I am willing to settle shwmaes debts myself from any future wages I may have.' She did add a few conditions to this, but I don't believe the debtor can legally apply conditions to the payment of a County Court Judgement.

I did a thread about this a couple week back.. Jessica is selling her arena surface too.. Apparently she has had a lot of time wasters so NO VIEWING ALLOWED. ;)

They seem to however be much more organised with lots of happy comments and only taking the orders they can do.. we'll just see if it'll last.

They're also dealing horses, some absolutely shocking posts on Facebook about their treatment of the horses they're selling and the conditions they're kept in :(.

Sorry, Tern but I don't manage to keep up with the threads!

It does strike me as odd that Jessica and Annie appear to move every 6 months. It is so that the debt collectors have difficulty in catching up with them?

Oh, I wasn't having a pick at you! :) It does seem strange but the debt collectors will find them wherever they go.. It may be delayed but they'll still find them at one point or another. :)

What seems even stranger is that Jessica threatened to re-open our court case even though she did not put a personal appearance in and is also threatening to take me to court for libel, defamation and loss of business. Cant see how that will work as all I have ever said about Shwmae and Jessica has been the truth.

Am still waiting to receive a promised letter from Jessica with regards to the above ... no doubt she is too busy moving again.

Must be awful to spend you life running away.

It's about time they (Ggee or Shwmae) started getting it right. Let's hope it lasts. But that does not excuse their previous business conduct; not sending goods, poor quality goods, ignoring CCJ 's, blocking customers and generally blaming everyone but themselves.
There seems to be a glut of companies making these things now who don't have the Shwmae notoriety.
I personally would not buy anything from them (Shwmae /Ggee).
The product itself is nothing more than pointless, humiliating and uncomfortable accessory for the animal. IMO.

Let her try. There have been plenty of very wealthy people who have been literally bankrupted by taking someone to court for either slander or libel. The legal profession just love people who have hissy fits.

Really FRP ... you have never heard of Shwmae! I find that quite astounding.

Nice to know you received your order from G-Gee Hoods though and that you are pleased with it.

Might take quite a few sales though for Jessica to raise enough money to pay the court order that she owes me!

G-Gee Hoods is now G-Gee Equine-Wear as they are going to offer a wider range of products!

Shame that the hoods they are producing are not of a reasonable quality. I have heard that some of the hoods supplied are about an inch longer on one side of the hood and the Velcro doesn't fasten properly because of this. G-Gee Hoods claim that this will not affect the product. They also claim that if the product is tried on the horse then it can not be returned as it is then 'used' goods. So here we go again with unhappy customers ... didn't take long really!

Well, I would have been inclined to agree with you until I got a skewbald with dazzling white cheeks which she loves to grind into the mud. No amount of brushing removes all of the muck and it really isn't a nice look to have a muddy rivulets running down her face.

I do not feel inclined to wash her before taking her out jumping or out with the blood hounds so I bought a head hood (from Snuggy) and have been well impressed with it.

So it is not pointless as it keeps my horse clean. It is not uncomfortable for her and I know this as she is not tied up or restricted in any way and willing helps me get the head hood on. And it keeps her warm.

That's my opinion of them, first hand.

Hoods is one thing - all over onsies for horses is quite another! Although I have threatened my boy (very mucky, dirt attracting piebald) with one if he doesn't stop covering himself in s***!!!
