Hi
Cob was injected for stifle lameness in the summer which was successful. When to feed nags this morning every thing ok went back around an hour later horse lame in walk on the front right. I am assuming she has stood on something although i cant see anything or she has twisted something. Have given couple of sachets of bute and will give her some again nearer night, rest her for the rest of the day and see what she is like to-morrow. Anyone had a sudden lameness with no obvious signs so quickly and what did you do. If no better will have to get the vet to-morrow which usually means skint for the rest of the month.

Have had a few thoughts which may or may not help you!Maybe you could call your Farrier and get them to pop over to have a look- I'm no expert but i wouldn't rule out bruising/ poss abcess brewing/foot prob- and vet out if they can't find problem- the bute at the moment although it will be relieving any pain, it will be masking the problem so it will make it trickier to know if she is getting better or worse- also which stifle was it last year?- if they are not right behind, sometimes that can make them look short in front-maybe the injection has worn off?.

Hopefully you'll get some more replies as well!

hope it's nothing too bad- good luck!.
