Any thoughts on what this tells us about my horse's front foot lameness. 2/10 lame all winter, diagnosed with navicular via xrays. Now the ground is hard/ weather better, she is looking sounder - the opposite to what I was expecting. Perhaps because her soles are harder? Any thoughts anyone?

Her feet will be harder altogether, probably also tighter (see how hoof trimmings studying when they dry out) and are maybe holding unstable stuff in place better?

I hope it lasts!
.

The frogs will be firmer when the hoof is drier and the bone affected is situated above the frog

Some of ours are a bit sensitive when their feet are soggier softer in wet times
, then dry out like now and then merrily march over allsorts obliviously
