WHERE DOES EVERYONE GET THERES FROM?IVE STUMBLED ACROSS A FEW WCS,ELITE,INTERNATIONAL COM STALLIONS AND A FEW OTHERS ALSO LOOKING FOR A REALLY GOOD REP OF A INSEMINATION CENTRE CAN ANYONE HELP WITH ADVICE
Well a lot of people go direct to the studs concerned and not through reps. But I would only advise people doing that if they really know what they are doing, otherwise your safest option is through one of the reps like WCS, Elite or Equine AI.
This is the list of BEVA recommended AI practices in the UK - http://www.beva.org.uk/node/68 or there is also AndyPandy on this forum.

It's not clear what you are searching for.
If it's insemination centres, then I can advise.
If it's frozen semen I can advise.
Which would you like? or both?
Or is the question as posted, regarding fresh or frozen semen?
[/ QUOTE ]sorry you are right its totally not clear (i havent been on the booze though my post looks like it) frozen and chilled semen is new to me as a new breeder my girls had teh real thing last year but now im looking for stallions further afield i just wondered where people ordered there semen also good insemination centres that have high results and v experienced
im not up on breeding by anymeans, but my mare is in foal due in April. She took first time to frozen semen - i can highly recommend my vet and practice which is Endells in Salisbury. Lukily i am only a 5min hack down the road from them - however my mare did stay overnight for 4 nights with them.
I went direct to the stud to get the frozen i wanted - i did have to organise nitrogen containers and get the containers sent back from the place i hired from etc. However the stallion i wanted wasnt avaliable via any of the 'websites' such as EliteDressageStallions etc at the time i needed it, so i had to go direct to the stud. But the stud (Haras De Lavie) were fantastic they are great at keeping in contact, and really really helpful.
Tempi - did you hire the containers and if so who from?
We've used chilled in the past and gone direct to the stud, although it is a little nerve wracking phoning Germany to order semen when you dont speak German, so you need to make sure there is an English speaking contact at the stud who can help you out.
May well be using frozen this year depending on final stallion choices. Mares will go to the vets for a few days but inital scans will be done at home.
Mine went to West Kington Stud and Tessa Clarke was brilliant. Both my mares have subsequently had healthy foals and were well looked after when they were there. They deal with loads of stallions semen, the choice is immense, plus if you find something that they haven't got ie from abroad, I understand that if you have your mare with them, they will sort it for you.
We've looked at it for this year and our vet is really up on it, as we aren't far from Stansted/M25 he doesn't see it as a problem as long as you are organised with your timings when bringing in from abroad. Most of the studs abroad with anything decent, do it alot and are used to sending to the UK.
