hi, how many of your arena surfaces have frozen over the past week or so? & what surface do you have? thanks

Our surface did freeze but mainly because it had a good covering of snow, it’s usually pretty good. However it really needs topping up. We have sharp sand, PVC bits, covered in silicon.

thanks! luckily i think sand was already out of the running due to past experiences of them flooding, freezing & riding deep.
im hoping it will all be worth it when it is finished, but the 4''of snow covering it at the moment isnt helping things along!

my sand and rubber one has been ridden in every day!!!!!! though it was a bit firm underneath on thurs, but still ok to walk and trot in, the rubber keeping it springy. softened back to normal now fine for everything! i put the rubber on 4 or 5 years ago as the pvc cables had diminished.best thing i did! it has very good drains has been down since 1997 and gets a lot of work, levelled every couple of days.
