I'm trying to make some boredom busters for my horse who's on box rest. I was thinking about hanging some fruit and veg from the roof for her to play with, but I'm not sure what fruit and veg horses are allowed.

If any one has any ideas that would stop her getting so bored while she is in or knows of any fruit or veg that they are allowed it would really help me out.

Thanks

swede
parsnips
carrots
apples
pears
mango

iv'e used swede, make a hole through the middle thread baler through tie big knots and hang up, or hang from hay net, (high).

Just be aware that lots of the fruit/veggies that you can give horses can make them rather full of energy.

When my horse was on boxrest last year I couldn't feed her them as not only was she was on a diet, but also absolutely hyped up from being kept in

The only fruit/veg Sunny won't eat is strawberries. Mercifully, I have forgotten the circumstances that led to me knowing this! In the winter, I put a swede on his stable floor a couple of times a week. Sometimes a cabbage. Good luck with your ned x

apple carrots swede parsnips turnips melon oranges mago there are loads but do not give onions potatoes cabbage or califlower!
