I started looking this week for a project over the winter, i dont have much money to spend but for £1000 (or there abouts) i was hoping to get something young and healthy that either needs breaking or bringing on....or anything i could sell come spring and make a bit of profit.

I knew it was going to be difficult to find something in budget but i have seen a couple of lovely looking horses and everytime ive been beaten to it!! I've rang up about five or so, four already having sold...one i arranged to see and i got a phonecall back the next day saying he'd sold it over the phone that morning (who does that anyway?? Im certainly not brave enough to).

AAaAAaaarrgh! Maybe i should spend the money on a holiday instead!

What about a nice little ex racer?

I did think about it, but it would have to be safe/sane. I dont mind putting the work in though.

Deadpan - im starting to think that might be the way to go, im only 7.5 stone so can sit on just about anything. Maybe i will start looking for a nice pony.

Christy - Horse OR pony, preferably something that needs bringing on although will break in a youngster if i like it. I want a project over winter, to sell on possibly spring/ summer next year. I'd prefer not to have a TB (seen/been told about alot off the race track and most come with problems), though as long as the horse is healthy and has potential im open minded. I have a budget of £1000 or there abouts.

i was just wondering a one ofmy good friends has a pony 14.2 haflinger that is 5 that needs bringing on he is very nice and jumps very large is good in traffic however she brought him and is now pregnant and he is too much of a project for a pregnant lady. he is very green and would need and experienced rider. pm if he sounds the type of horse u require i could send u some picturesxxxx

if you want to pratt around with something till the spring, and dont mind traveling a bit, my mare might suit.

Im not selling her, just dont have time. she is more or less ready to start BN, so if you fancy just comming down to compete her you are more than welcome. she is kept at markflied EC M1,J22.

she is not difficult but can be a bit sharp. she is just a baby with a mum with no time.

I will be selling her come spring, and if all works out perhaps you could ride my new one.

That way you get your holiday as well!

16.2hh, warmblood, 5 yrs, dark bay. olympic SJ bloodlines.

If you don't mind travelling there seems to be quite a few for sale in the Hereford area at the mo. Seems to be cob and welsh pony types tho, which isn't to everyones taste.

hey i spoke to my friend and she has got some one to ride for her at the mo so sorry to be a pain thought he sounded what u wanted but unfortuantley she has found some one else for him!sorryxxxx
