I'm Going to have a rant on here. all my 'horsy' friends have grown out of it now rly and my OH is getting fed up of my moaning lol.

I neeeeeed a horse to ride

i'm having serious withdrawal symptoms to the point where i'm constantly hunting for anything horsy on tv or online. I've been scouring the www for anyone who wants a rider round here but they're all down south, damned unhorsyness of the northwest!
And to make it even worse i looked after an old demic of a riding school horse for 7 years at the riding school i rode/worked at and since i went to uni some woman started loaning him and has turned everyone against me (ha, i know how childish that sounds but theyre all being very childish also) so now i cant even go and see him without everyone being B!tchy to me, ignoring me and making me misserable. After 15 years of riding there they listen to this woman and shun me (and these are supposedly women, not children as you may be thinking).
The good point is that the ned himself is doing very well from the individual attention and being in his 20's now he needs it more than ever. I just resent being pushed out of his life after nearly 8 years of cut washings, scab pickings, bandaging, walking when he's lame or stiff...

eee rant over, well done if uv read all this, u deserve some kind of medal lol.

Cant believe what some people can be like you would think they were little kids not adults!!! Such a shame you cant go near him after so long being around him. Isnt there any way you could loan or buy your own???

well i was in a position to a while back and for the right horse was willing to make it work while i was at uni (loaners/sharers/friends) but i couldn't buy or move him, he's lived there for about 18 years and the shock would kill him at his age i think. There was another horse there i did a lot of work on since he came as a problem horse but i missed out on buying him by 1 day! So since im back and forth all the time it's not really worth it for a horse i dont know, having to bring in other people to look after them while i'm away during the week. How do people do it while they're at uni???

Would you still be able to see the horse on weekends, as you could always find a yard with full or part livery and maybe you could come up with some arrangement. Like if they would look after in week and maybe even you could offer them the chance to ride the horse aswell and then you could look after it the weekends if you had the time. I dont go to uni so probs not much help but i do think if you love horses so much you should go and fullfill your dream. And if you could get it so that you could have your own or loan a horse and look after it the weekends then would be a lot better than not having any contact with horses at all.
