Yes I saw that Cathy is giving up. That's a real shame for all of those poor abused American horses. She has done so much to 'whistle blow' on some really dreadful stories. I hope someone just as hardworking takes it over.
 
A real shame. I hope if it is bought they keep the content open for those you haven't discovered Fugly yet.
Perhaps someone will offer to compile a book/books and share profits?
 
I'm afraid if she can't afford the treatment then why on earth did she breed a foal? Everyone knows foals can have all sorts of issues and cost a fortune to put right, and minis quite often do come out deformed. Quite sad really. Does anyone remember that awful web site dedicated to deformed minis that died or were pts (after suffering!). It was hideous.
 
...sorry for posting as a passer by on this thread, but why as humans do we feel the need to breed animals smaller & smaller? The demformaties in some of these mini shetties are apparant to even the most tolerant of horse lovers, some photos on FB this morning made me want to spit - yet comments such as "aww cute" only fuel the issue.

Horses are horses - let them be such, not poodles to take into your bedroom.
