I'm debating whether or not to get full fluorescent chaps, or waterproof trousers;

Chaps;
Cheaper,
Easier to get on / off,
Able to ride in,
Use for hacking,
Doesn't cover bum.

Waterproof trousers
Take ages to put on / take off.
Black and dull,
Not able to ride in,
Cover me fully though,
Baggy,
Wont stand out in the dark and dull weather

So looking at that, I'm guessing you're all going to go with chaps? :p

Has anyone used Luna Rider Reflective Chaps? :) And would you recommend them? :)

Thank you!
Nick.

I ride in waterproof trousers alot through the winter - they don't have to be dark and dull, you can get fluorescent ones too. They also cover more than chaps so are great for around the yard too.

On the other hand I have seen those luna rider chaps in a shop and have been tempted!

I have flurescent chaps and I cannot tell you how much I love them! Thy are waterproof and lined and lovely and warm and cosey, I live in them in the winter and when at the pony fields I have to park on a dark lane so always helpful to be seen!!

Mine are the Luna ones and my friend brought them to now!

I have the fleece lined rambo chaps and a cheapy pair of waterproof trousers from a mountain/walking shop.

I use the fleecy ones through the winter, but find them too hot for riding in the rain in warmer weather hence the waterproof trousers.

If these Luna Rider chaps are made of the same material as their jackets, you will ROAST! Seriously! The jacket I've got is fine, waterproof & windproof, BUT its like wrapping yourself up in sellophane; there's absolutely no ventilation and you end up wringing wet inside it! Awful. I'd never buy another. The material just doesn't breathe and all the condensation ends up inside with no-where to go.
