I would def go with the rambo ones, although I have the full on waterproof trousers, not chaps. They are great though, and you never get a wet bum!
Fab for riding (made nice and long and don't ride up) and bought my friend a pair for her birthday who works long hours on eventing/hunting yards and hers are still alive and kicking, so I think they must be able to take a bit of a bashing!! lus they are not too hot to wear on competition days so your nice trews don't get filthy
I have musto ones they are wind proof, waterproof and fleecy. Absoloutley fantastic in winter!! I like the musto coz they are still quite thin so not too bulky unlike most. Though they don't have any elastic to go underneath your boot so they ride up when riding but i put some jodphur clips on which has solved the prob.
Shires... I have some fleece lined ones, very warm and water proof. Bought some rambo ones, and they were cr@p. They dont have any elastic under the boot, wore them for riding, and they just kept on creaping up my leg. Came back bleeding from being rubbed by them.
riff raff wax full chaps windproof waterproof(do need reproofed every so often) don't ride up last for ages...... had mine since 1999 still going strong
