Now Troy is 4 months old (I still can't believe it has gone so fast) I really do need to sort out where he will be going come weaning time. The gelding I had the option of putting him with where I am could be having shoes on very soon, so I now definitely have to send him away. However, it is proving quite difficult to find somewhere that is a) suitable for a colt and b) is not too far away so I can visit him lots as I am really going to miss the little guy.

I would ideally like him to have daily turnout (weather permitting of course) and the option of a stable should the weather be horribly cold.

Does anyone have any ideas? I am willing to travel, so it could be anywhere in the North West. Although I would like him nearer rather than further away, if the best place is the latter then I will travel that little bit longer.

Thanks everyone

I am in Adlington, Chorley at the moment with him.

Hannah went to End House to be inseminated, I didn't know they took colts on there so will give them a call. Thanks Pat

if i could help you i would! they dont allow colts/stallions on our yard the last stallion we had had to be stabled 24/7 unfair on poor donkey. you can have my backgarden if you want!!!!

I am getting quite panicky though at the moment... 2 months is not long at all, and I really do need to find him somewhere before then
