Is every bodies full livery going up a fair bit after the winter we have just had? I fully understand why. Full liveries have used up more hay than anticipated due to the awful long winter and then the hay prices are constantly increasing. Is there much money to be made providing full livery these days? I doubt it
I have had discussions with 2 friends recently both with a horse each at dif full livery yards and both at them were saying I'm at a stage in my life when I want to own a home and have a baby and I simply can't do it with a horse anymore. It seems for them the time has come when full livery is an unnecessary luxury now. I think this happens to a lot of women approaching 30 who are paying a fortune for livery and not progressing in their personal lives because of it. I'm lucky I'm in my 30s with my own house and a gorgeous daughter and a pony on full livery but I get days I still question the amount I spend on livery and if it could benefit my family if it was spent on other things.
Just musing really, anyone else questioning the cost of full livery and at what cost it comes to family?
