Hello,

I am making some general enquiries, and considering my options !!

It concerns my daughters pony who is a 13.3 NF gelding. Due to various lameness issues he is only lightly hacked, and no area work either as he only really goes in straight (ish) lines. So we would not consider loan / share etc. My daughter will be going to University in Sept 2016, leaving me looking after her pony. At this point he is likely to be semi retired.

We are on a really lovely DIY yard at the moment which is close to home, and I pay people to assist me. This is a help but it is always slightly uncertain due to individual circumstances changing etc, I work full time, and have a younger child also.

However, I am fed up of my life feeling a bit frantic.

What I think would really help is Full Livery in the winter, and a field livery in the summer where he is turned out, but the poo picking is done, he is checked etc with feet picked out (he would need restricted grazing also)

However, much of the FL I'm aware of is megabucks !! and with great facilities, which we just don't need.

Does anyone know of anything that might suit, we are in no rush at the moment :)

(he is very straightforward, enjoys the company of other horses, but is also easy to do)

Thanks in anticipation

Which side of York? How far are you wanting to travel? What facilities are you wanting? When are you wanting to move him?

Hi, We are East / South really. I'm not needing to move now, though ideally it would be before my daughter goes to Uni in Sept 2016 - though if the right thing came up this could be sooner !!

I don't mind travelling, in Winter I would like to see him once a week (sometimes once a fortnight if busy or weather awful) In summer probably twice a week, so I don't mind travelling a bit. (20 miles would be the max I think)

In terms of facilities we don't need much, a tack room, stable, field with restricted grazing, somewhere to park the trailer. We don't need an arena as he doesn't do circles, and he isn't ridden when its dark.

He is barefoot so a bit of off road hacking would be good.

The problem I've found is that lots of establishments offering full livery have lots of great facilities which are reflected in the price and we just don't need them.

Hacking is a bit limited at the yard I recommended to you by PM SG but there is enough to have a little jaunt out and about, including a nice straight track up a low gradient slope. Trailer parking should be o.k. There is an outdoor arena but rates are very reasonable in my view so you won't feel like you are paying for facilities you don't need. Its a brilliant place for retirement/ semi retirement livery - several horses are there on that basis.

Hello, tried to PM you but as I'm a new member it won't let me. I know of somewhere that has everything you list, and not expensive either. Please PM me for more info.
