At the moment we have four horses at the yard, which works out well because if two go out the other two have got each other for company.
One oldie that cant cope with being on its own and one horse that also cant cope being on its own, bloody insecure horses, there a pain i know, but anything for a quiet life :-)

Anyway shortly one of the horses may be going, somone is interested in buying her.
We dont want to buy another as trying to cut down,if this is the case then this will obviously cause problems with the insecure two if two went out, so we thought about having another horse up there, preferably an oldie or somthing that cant be ridden, as a bit of a companion horse.

We could get a livery but dont want to do that as things work out very well there as it is and dont want to upset anything, so we were thinking...
If we offer to look after horse feed, hay and bedding, stable at night during winter or when weather bad, out in summer lots of good grazing, 7 days a week and owner just needs to pay for farrier, wormers and vet fees and contribute say £10/£15 per week, do you think this is a good deal??
Would probably suit somone that as i said has an oldie that hasnt got the time to give it the attention it needs or similar. The horse will be treated as one of our own and will get very well looked after, ok spoilt :-).

Any feed back would be great.
Thanks guys :-)

companions from the rescue centres come with this package I'm pretty sure :) worming farrier and veterinary care are still payed for by the charity.

Sounds like a great deal and if you were near me you could have mine, he's not that old but reired through injury and kind of performs that task where he is, in that he's out with YOs two and if one gets ridden he keeps the other company. Only problem is I still have to pay a full livery for him - ouch!

Fantastic offer for someone.....especially for someone who cant do as much or for a much loved oldie/retiree....Im sure someone will snap your hands off!

Ahh - I think I was just putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5!

The horse I am thinking of is full Luso and was on Schooling livery and sold through PMG, hence me making the connection!

Oh right who was that then?? i know PMG very well :-) they kinda all look the same dont they :-)

Ive owned my boy since he was 4 months old and he aint never going no where :-)
