FULL LIVERY RANT

My horse is on DIY & between my parents & I the elderly horse is very pampered!! Today however i had to have the yard take her in & feed her due to my dad goin into hospital for an op. They would be taking her in, changin her rug & feeding her. Easy right? Went up at 8pm on the way back home from the hospital to find her in, rug hanging off the door half on the floor & her dinner that id already made up, ready for them to feed, is where i left it. To top it shes hopping lame & will need the vet out tomorrow. She has old suspensory ligament damage that flairs up when she gallops round like a lunatic. Which she only does when left out on her own... grr. What should i be sayin to the yard owner/ manager tomorrow??

So cross.
 
Personally I would be on the phone to them tonight or visiting them in person if they live on site. I'd be fuming

Sounds like they forget your poor horse. I'd be livid too - it's not rocket science is it. I'd have to say something!
 
Sounds like they forgot you had asked them to do him, I'd be furious. After you have had a bit of a rant I'd suggest that they get a board so that reminders can be put up. I'd also ask that they pay the vets bill as she is injured because she was left out alone and was hooning round.
 
I agree - they just forgot to do anything other than bring her in. Who brings a horse in and then doesn't even think to change its rug or feed it? I think you're well within your rights to complain, it's not like you were asking for her asparagus to be lightly steamed or anything - just brought in, fed and rugged.

Poor ned, hope she is better soon.
