and my horse was an utter gibbering wreck this morning! Any connection or is it just an old wives tale?

Usually he will stand quietly munching a haynet whilst I muck out and get him ready for a ride, not this morning he was constanly pawing at the ground, fidgeting, flapping his bottom lip (which he does when he's unsure about something), kicking the wall and stress pooing for England!

However once tacked up, boots on (which took an age as he just couldn't stand still) and he got going he was as good as gold! Didn't put a foot wrong, good as gold to turn out and wandered off quite happily.

Whens the next full moon due?.......just so I can be prepaired!

No idea...but I took mine out under the full moon and he didn't seem to grow fangs or morph at all, nor get on his toes :p

Clearly you have a higher population of werewolves than round here!!!

This sounds oddly similar to an experience i had this morning. Horse just not his usual self.

I have 2 theories on said horse's behaviour
1)the moon, have seen dogs and kids behave oddly after/during a full moon.

2) the fact he had to wait whilst another horse was exercised before him and he objected to being kept waiting.

I guess though in reality we will never know!

This is where the name "lunatic" comes from "Luna" as in moon and "tic" as an afflicition. When my mother has alive she ws a urse and wored in an old peoples home and she use to say that when the moon was full a lot of them behaved very oddly like getting upn te night and wanting to go out and meet someone and generally talking rubbish. It was well know years ago also thatthe moon affected some people.

I work alongside the Police and we notice we have more incidents reported/occur during full moons, one Police force did do some research into it and petty crime does slightly increase during these periods. As earlier post said, the luna is said to affect some people.

My usually very chilled out gelding, especially when tucking in to a big net of hay, was a complete, twirly whirlwind this am. His bed was trashed, poo everwhere, hay all over the floor, squitting for England etc etc. it was a really huge moon though . . .
