Hey,

I need to get all rugs for my horse.

Where the best place to buy all rugs that are reasonable priced, and what rug makes are good value for money.

Thanks.

Derby house were doing BOGOF the other day....I dont know if that is still on?

Jumpers Horse Line (or whatever they are called) are reasonable rugs for a good price....

Other than that, I find the rug I want, and google it to get the best price and lowest delivery charge!!!

I love the horseware rugs which fit my horses really well, and seem to last. I find that the Masta shape is very wrong for my cobby horses..... My big mare has a bucas rug which I *love* but it was about £200!!! It has lasted very well though....I think it has seen 4/5 winters and apart from the odd repair, it looks great and still keeps her very warm....

yeah Derby House always seem to have offers on now! :) although, the masta i have fits my gypsy cob youngster pretty well (but hes not overly chunky yet! ) but i love the two william whitaker rugs i own ;D bargain from ebay ;)

you are better to buy a few good quality/ cut rugs which fit well than loads of cheaper ones! buy cheap rugs and you will only end up buying again.. i love rambo and fal, amigo have improved loads in quality and fit. some of my fals i have had for 13 years and still look like new when cleaned and reproofed, so year on year have worked out cheap, tho initial outlay is high but they do last and you get what you pay for.

I'm a big fan of Weatherbeetas I feel reasonably priced lovely and deep for the bigger horse and heavyweight rugs very warm (yet still fairly light to throw up onto the horse) and some very stylish ranges (not that the horse is bothered but I like her to look nice)!

Another fan of ebay for 2nd hand rugs or as Maisy said google it then do a compare the meerkat on it there can be huge discrepansies from different outlets (sp).

What size are you looking for? I am about to get rid of some 6'3, PM if interested at all. (hope that's not classed as advertising).

Can't reccomend Weatherbeeta rugs enough, if i buy any other brand i always regret it. Robinsons, Drby house, horse rugs4u, equestrian clearanc i'v used all these without problems..x

I am looking at getting

L/w, m/w and h/w in both turnout and stable rugs with necks
fleece for stable and shows, under rug, exercise sheet

I think i will buy more expensive outdoor rugs to be honest because of the English weather and slightly less expensive stable rugs

He is 6ft3, I want to buy everything new :D he is one spoilt pony!!

I am well and truly jealous! wish i could buy a rug wardrobe from scratch, however i am banned from buying any more rugs :( boohoo. Think i have approx 20 rugs for my 2yr old, however i am sure he'll start to outgrow these soon and i will have to buy some more :D:D:D

i realy like the shires rugs they look great fit well and are very resonaby priced
lov his masts quiltmasta stable rug
mark todd fleece is lovely but too small as it came with him
would love a rambo wug tey look really good but there so expensive :(

I never get the "fashion" to buy a stable rug AND a turnout rug - a turnout rug can be used in and out!

I would buy Rambo rugs - they really are the best.
I only buy horseware ireland turnout rugs - I love their LW amigo rugs which have no fill :)

I did this 2 years ago. i got all mark todd (on a tip off tehy fitted the horse well) and all from equestrian clearance (I spent ages pricing!) the rugs are still going strong. I bought 6 and have never had to buy any others for horse!

I also like any horsewear brand and rideaway is a good place to order. Don't like derby house and while robinsons are ok I don't like there own brand rugs. Um, that's about all I think! Hope it helps
