Hey all,
Does anyone have any ideas for fun games or exercises that I could get lead line riders to do? Especially for "jump" lessons...

I have a heap of single pole and pattern exercises for them, but I was wondering if there was any way to make them a little more fun or different while still being safe?

Thanks :)

Simon Says
Grandmothers Footsteps
Bending

Thread the button (wooden coasters with two holes drilled in - and a bootlace, rider rides up the the button, threads the bootlace through the holes (Improves confidence and dexterity)

Catch the Duck, 30cm length of cane with a hook screwed into the end. A Tommy Tippee duck with an eyelet screw in the top of its head. Rider rides to duck, catches it with the cane, then carries it back to the start (Reins in one hand, Confidence and dexterity, learning to carry things on back of pony)

One, Two, Three, Four 1 = Tough pony's head, 2 = Touch toes, 3 = Touch top of pony's tail, 4 = touch the top of your head. Jumble up the numbers.

Stationary - Round the World,

Snoring competition (great fun) child lies back on pony's back and makes snoring noises. Toe touching, Airplanes - arms out to side at shoulder height, twist at waist to look sideways. All these exercises should be done with legs staying in the correct place

In the Jungle, lots of imagination here, brush the monkeys off your shoulder, duck down to avoid the branches, legs up so the crocodile doesn't bite, run away from the lions (trot)
