Hi All!

Not a dog owner myself but I work for a charity and we've been asked to host a fun dog show, however we'd like to do something a little bit memorable and different.

What sort of classes would you like to see aside from the standard prettiest bitch and handsomest dog?

Thank you!

Mini obstacle course including putting on some silly hats or something on the way. Best trick, but not obedience style sits, downs etc.

Best pair
Mismatched pair
Puppy class
Best mover
Best smooth coat
Best rough coat
Waggiest tail
Judge to take home
Prettiest eyes
Some easy obedience
Handy dog (some sort of obstacles)
Best condition
Junior handler, adult handler

Musical sit. Weave pole race (2 at a time, knockout). Doggy puissance. Best trick. Fancy dress . Best 6 legs. Doggy dressage.

My last fun dog show had 150+ entries!

One of the best (and most hilarious) classes we ever did was 'it's a knockout' biscuit catching. Dogs all lined up and had to catch a biscuit. Mini marrowbone rolls are pretty good. As each one dropped it, they got eliminated until there was a (full up) winner!!

Button won that class 2 years in a row :D

Other 'normal' stuff could be:-

Handsome dog
Pretty bitch
Best puppy (under 12 months)
Best veteran (over 7 years)
Best super veteran (over 12 years)
Waggiest tail
Best rescue
Junior handler
Judge's choice
Fancy dress (dog and handler)
Best trick (dog and handler)

If it's going to be busy I wouldn't risk anything where they would be off lead, e.g. distance obedience or anything tricksy like that. It could end up in chaos!!

Whatever the classes, they're all good fun for those involved.
