With my new horse arriving on Friday I need to get a headcollar and numnah for him (comes with all other tack, rugs etc).

He's a chestnut and white MW cob gelding. What colour headcollars/numnahs would go? And where can I get them?
Nowhere seems to sell cool headcollars now...

My last horse was dark bay so any colour went, I got her a bright orange headcollar. It looked awesome!

I'm based in Surrey but we bought Hattie from somewhere in West Sussex. She was being sold by BM Equine Ltd for a friend. Was used at a riding/hacking centre and rode along Worthing beach...She hated water though

No, sadly she was put down back in February. She tripped out riding and tore a tendon, she hated box rest and just kept making it worse, eventually tore the whole thing off basically. We could have kept her alive but she would have been on drugs all her life (which werent working) and she would have been stuck in a field (no matter how lazy she was she still loved her gallops!).

Do you know much about her (She's called Hattie) ? When we got her there were loads of problems with passports etc and we never found out anything about her. Apparently the riding centre bought her off Guy Williams? Thats a bit suspect though! lol

Would love to find out a bit about her past.
Thanks

I've ridden Hattie myself, she was always very good but I wonder if she would be a bit more of a handful when she is not in RS??

Chestnut Mare, where are you based now? Sorry to hijack but I haven't got my own horse (time and money

) and I find it really difficult to ride now they've closed the RS there.

She was never a handful. It took her a while to realise that she was allowed to have fun but she was brilliant. We spent most of our time hacking/galloping

Helly T, I'm still there now lol.

I dont know too much about her I'm afraid, sorry for your loss she really was a beautiful mare who had alot of admirers in the riding school. I dont think they would have brought her off Guy Williams lol they tended to buy there horses cheap of a local dealer. I dont think the RS horses recieved the best care TBH so that would explain about her passport!
They definatly has her since 2005 when I moved up there and then she was sold when the riding school closed down.

Thanks, it's nice to know a bit more about her. I told my mum and she was in tears when I said about all the admirers! I'm glad Hattie really was as awesome as I thought.

You won't NEED to get a headcollar, just WANT to

Any excuse eh?

(It's illegal to sell a horse without a headcollar)

Of course I WANT a headcollar.

lol.
Sadly, we've failed in the colourful front and have ended up with a black one with gold edges. Apparently gold doesnt go with ginger, but we shall see...

Got a saddle cloth as well. Its a white, square thing. Very boring but apparently thats what works with his saddle, seemed easier to buy that than buy an awesome numnah and it not work. lol.

My last horse was FAR easier. Dark bay. All colours went (except mouldy pink
