Schooled Wee S today and had a blast :)

We are getting to know each other and shes now coming off my leg nicely, just need to get balance sorted and then the rest will come :)

Since I had a photographer (very rare lol) I took a comprehensive view today and wanted to get vids of us doing everything as there will be little/no jumps involved now until i can get her trot and canter balanced a bit more but might keep the polework as it was getting her focused and will give her a varied schooling session :)

Enjoy

Bless, looks like you were both having fun :) Your mare looks lovely.
Pole work is good for focus and balance I do it alot with the orange one. Although he wasn't happy yesterday when I made him do raised trotting poles as he had to actualy pick his feet up  :p
Keep up the good work with your mare.

Looks like good fun :)

Not sure if you want c/c of riding? Ignore if you didnt!

In trot you need to work on landing much more softly, and dont need to do such a big hip thrust at the top of the rise, as this makes you rush to get down again so you go down with a bump. Your feet like to turn outwards a bit so think about weighting your little toe to curl them round and down the horses side.

You are holding your reins very short, which is encouraging you to fold forwards at the hip and means your arms are nearly straight. Try ad keep your elbows at your sides and your hands slightly higher off his neck.

In canter he was struggling to go because you are pushing down on his back with both seat bones which depresses his spine just as you need it to round up, you need to think up! up! up! with each stride to stop yourself shovelling forwards with your seat which is causing your shoulders to row a little.

Not bothered with CC of riding as the horses isnt the easiest to ride :) She has no other canter but fast and unbalanced, her trot is the same so everything is to get her to SLOOOOOOW down and chill, mind yo I had issues even getting her to trot 4 weeks ago so this is progress but all she knows is FASTER FASTER :)

Thanks for thew comments, shes doing well and Im hoping in 6 months time we will have a different picture :)

You would be amazed at how much the riders way of going affects the horses ability to work.......its what im studying at the moment.

Try slowing your rise down in trot rather than rushing to keep up with her :)

Thanks :) I meant that Im not fussed about CC as in that if its given Ill look at it and not get huffy, realised that that looked a little cheeky so apologies TT :)

Shes really trying and we had a good session yesterday and with the sun being out it made it so much better :D

God no wonder people give up with this place and posting feel good threads  Unless its drama, trolling or just downright nasty nobody even bothers with you :(

Sad really as i enjoy reading and commenting on others adventures :(

Looks like you were having a great time. Your girl's lovely. No comments otherwise except to agree that it will come. I've had mine 8 months and things are finally coming together quite nicely - that means it's all going to go horribly wrong tomorrow! Keep enjoying it.
