Does anyone know where I can find out about them? Have had a look at Riding Diaries website and there is nothing at all listed for Derbyshire/ Cheshire, and I'm a bit stumped as to where to find out about organised events?

Have you looked at your local RC websites?

I find this is the best way to find out.

I find out through local papers like 'Local Horsemart' or sometimes they're advertised at stables

Errr for chesire area there is 'saddle up chesire' http://www.saddleupcheshire.co.uk/
That has local events etc
Other than that I'd say riding diary so i dunno

Your local tack shop might keep schedules or information. Also, do you know who organises them as they might have a website. Most of ours are organised by the 2 local hunts and dates etc are on the web.

Oh you lucky thing Derbyshire Ripley Riders Club is brilliant they go all over. OH joined them last year although I do think they have a waiting list. I think they have an application form on the internet if not pm me and I'll ask OH and pm you the details. They had that much money they had to go limited. After each ride they had buckets with brand new headcollars, lead ropes and all sorts told you to just help yourself to something you wanted. He loved it. I'm sure you will too everyone is friendly and if you ask them they will try and find one of the other to ride with you if you have no one. I think they like all riders at some point to do marshalling to give everyone a chance to ride. Let me know how you get on.
