I am rubbish at these..............how about a rabbit jumping out / or horse landed on the tyre summersaulting you out of the saddle ( if so I hope you didn't hurt yourself!!)

If it had been D she would have stopped to eat grass as you landed. Lil would probably look down in mid air, realise there was a horse eating monster under the fence and give it an extra 2ft with a back legged spring!

I'll tell you the answer, but first let me set the scene....

I'm 47 tomorrow and absolutely terrified of jumping! Haven't done it for years. Roo is an ex P2P'r and my biggest fear with him is that he will jump P2P-style, from a long way back.

When that pic was taken (a couple of weeks ago) I hadn't planned on riding, hence the jeans and no BP, but my OH had come to the yard with me to fix some fencing so full of bravado I hopped on Roo and as OH was taking pics, aimed him at the jump... (mad fool that I am)

Roo did in fact take off about half a stride too early (hence his hooooge leap) - I landed right up his neck, couldn't recover, panicked Roo who got faster so I bailed. Landed on my back and now look like this....

Nothing broken, I don't think, coz I can still move, but I sure do feel my age! And I've managed to acquire something called a seroma, which is a large, fluid filled bruise that can take "ages" to go, according to the docs. The sensation feels like I'm walking around with a hot water bottle strapped to my back. Here's my OH prodding it gently so you can see the fluid moving up and down...

So... in one sesh I achieved my two biggest fears - jumping AND falling off.... first fall since I was a teenager, which isn't as impressive as it sounds as I took a 21 year break from horses and only came back to them 5 years ago. And that also ends my jumping career... never again! lol

But I'm quite proud of the pic anyway....

Well done for trying in the first place! Hope your not too sore from it. But dont let it put you off jumping for good and if you do feel ready to try again at least you will know whats coming and expect the early take off
