Fun Rides in Kent

Hi

Can anyone help me with fun rides coming up over the summer, im interested in doing some but dont really know where they are or how to find out! A friend of mine is off to the Chilham ride on Sunday, anyone been before? Is it good?

Speedgates Ride for Life is in july it think, great jumps I think its in longfield

Thanks, I'll have a look where speedgate is, the lodgefarm place looks really good! I've just got a trailor so want to get the most out it, lol!! Plus its nice to do other stuff than just hacking out
 
Chilham is lovely! It was off-limits for a few years, then one year a friend and I were doing another ride in the area when we rounded a corner, cantered up a leafy ride, popped a convenient log, and suddenly the big house was in front of us! We almost expected to see Mr Darcy!
 
What about an Endurance Ride? There's a lovely one in Withyham, just south of Tunbridge Wells across farmland (no jumps) run by Endurance GB.

I think if I remember rightly you could do an 8mile or a 13 mile. I did it a couple of years ago. It was lovely.

And not too expensive to enter either!
 
I don't know much about Endurance rides, the first ride fun ride i've done was Wye the other week was great fun but I wouldn't say I'm experienced at these things! Seriously considering Chilham on Sunday, just to put my mind at ease can anyone tell me what its like? 10 miles of field?? or hills, roads, tracks etc like Wye?

I hope I don't sound wimpy but I kind of like to know what will be meeting me if I go, my horse will be fine it might just be me that has the mental block!!

Chilham has everything Wye has, plus some lovely parkland and, if you're lucky, some of the cross country course, without the competitive atmosphere of Wye.
