Yet again the weather is causing lots of problems not least the fact that it has scuppered the forthcoming point to point meeting, this is a massive blow to funds. Just wondering what other fundraising projects other hunts have maybe we can ease the deficit a little x

I think we are largely up the same creek as you, so if you see our paddle we'd be glad of its return!

We have had to cancel a lot of our fund raisers over the past year due to either weather or a lack of support. Our five best fund raisers for the last few years have been a Ghost Walk with a local historian, the Carol Service, a hound racing event at the kennels, the end of season dinner dance/awards ceremony and the hunting themed pantomime.

What about hunt rides? Around me they are really popular with up to 300 horses at £18 each.
With none of the xc courses open and lousy ground if you had somewhere suitable for a gallop/jump you would be inundated.

Summer? Summer? What is this thing of which you speak Ditchjumper???

It is a rare thing than some of us older ones remember from our ancient past.

Those days of warm summer evenings sat out in the garden with bottles of wine and cider..........horses in lush meadows of grass with not a care about their weight, the gentle rumble of the combine, the sweet smell of the new hay at £2.00 a bale all safely stacked in abundance.....................but then she steps out of the shower ............................................and realises it was all a dream :D

Just like Bobby Ewing, for those that remember Dallas!!!!

Nope, the only rule was don't pick it up and launch it :D, which most people payed no attention to, and it ended up being more like a game of fireball lacrosse than hockey. Good fun though :D
