My friend is running the marathon to help raise funds for the SIA, Spinal Injuries Association.

She's a horse rider and like most of us is aware how spinal injuries can effect a persons life, whether riding related or not!

This is a link to her just giving website, so those who would like to support her can donate.

Thanks guys xx

Edited to Say - If you do donate, stick HHO after your name, so we know who to thank :)

Bit of a bump & some info on what She's doing...

"I am, like many of you a regular horse rider taking part in competitions nationwide, in 2009 over 10,000 horse riders were admitted to hospital after falling from a horse, over 1000 of these people were admitted to an Intensive care unit (my mum included), over 500 of these had obtained a form of a spinal injury and over 100 of these were told they would never ride/walk again. The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is the leading national charity for spinal cord injured people.

Our aims are to:
Offer support and assistance from the time of injury and for the rest of a paralysed person's life
Provide services to increase an individual's quality of life
Support the families of newly injured people
Increase knowledge and awareness of the causes and consequences of spinal cord injury
Campaign for the best medical and social care for spinal cord injured people
Please if you could spare anything at all to help I know I and the charity would be hugely grateful! Just think you never know what could happen tomorrow"

Thanks again :)
