i voluntier for a charity working with 'difficult', ausistic and disabled children. they need some fundraising ideas however they are quite restricted due to the fact that they dont want to draw too much attention to where the horses are extra, i thought of doing some sort of sponsered ride but any ideas would be appreciated

well because no one lives on site and there is a rise in tack thefts ect. so just for safety reasons. They dont want to hold open days or anything that would make the place known so general public if that makes sense

plus i ment ect. not extra

I do fundraising for a local riding club. We have raised £3000 by:

Quiz at a local pub with a raffle (usually takes in approx £300)

Silent Auction (get local businesses to donate prizes e.g. we got show jumps, voucher from the vets, TV, Local instructors donated lessons etc)

Sponsored ride

Held a fun SJ show and got businesses to sponsor a jump for £30

Held a mini event (Dressage, SJ and a gallop round the field with 3 jumps to constitute XC)

We are also going to do the bag packing thing at a local supermarket as have heard it makes a lot of money for just one days work.

Hope this helps PM me if you need any more info.
