I was just wondering if any of you have some particularly funny memories which involve horses...I have rather a few so would love to hear everyone elses.

yeh me and my cus use to go out for a hack then hide in a footpath type places for a fag !!!
one day we were sat there reins loose having a ciggy when all of a sudden two boys shot round the corner on thier bikes,well horses shot off with us trying not to burn ourselves and trying to gather up reins at same time lol lol
managed to stop,shouted at boys and gutted cos we didnt finish ciggy !!!!!
just one of many many stories and funny memories

depends what you mean by funny......!!!!
im currently writing a novel documenting all my Pony Club experiences...i was always the one who everybody could rely on to fall off, anywhere, anytime, anyhow. I hold the record for the most entries in the Accident Book; I managed to fall of 7 times in one day of camp (5 at the same fence - incidentally, a water jump). i was a bit soggy.
My funniest moment, although it wasn't funny at the time, was when my hateful palomino mare barged past me out of the stable at PC camp, but i didnt let go - she then dragged me through the yard on my knees, through an open garden gate and onto the perfectly mowed lawn of the yard owner!!!!!!

didnt have the choice not to get back on.....wat with screaming mother on one side and evil instructor on the other! ah, its all good. if i hadnt had all those falls back then, id never in a million years be able to sit my naughty horse now!

Ahh don't become complacent though. I hadn't fallen off for 35 years up till last year when I was spectacularly spun through the air!!

Out the back of our terraced village house there is a tarmaced area which is a right of way all the way through the back, though is only ever used by neighbours, it backs onto our garden.
Back when we were younger all our horses used to stand out here, without headcollars or lead ropes, entirely free to go where they pleased. However they always stayed where we left them when we went to get tack, grooming brushes, treats etc etc.
Like so, lol.
You get the idea.
Anway, one day, mid summer holidays, we had jsut given all ponies a bath and normally one of us (3 sisters) stands with them but for some reason we'd all walked off somewhere. Anyway, sudden thunder of hooves and the horses had all disappeared. But due to their baths we had thrown towels all over them (about 4 towels per horse) to absorb some of the water.
Like so.
We had a fair idea of where they'd run to, so we all dashed onto the track... and all the way down, there was a trail of towels!
Followed the towels, found 2 ponies standing at the yard field gate, and 2 more gorging themselves in YO's garden. Ooops!
Needless to sat we didn't learn our lesson and to this day I occasionally don't bother tying them up
:O 
Also, once we were trying to get my youngest sister into riding. She was on Trix, our first pony learning to jump. Everytime Trixie came to this fence she'd absolutely leap and everytime, little sis would come flying off. After 5 times my big sister ordered me on, and told me I had to fall off SIX times so my little sister didn't feel bad.
And everytime I threw myself from the saddle I landed rather spectacularily in a patch of nettles.

Aww you'll be fine I'm sure.
I have to say it is quite weird to be thrown off after such a very long time......but it wasn't as bad as I remembered or imagined.

ooo i have loads!!
I remember one time when i was only lil, my pony was being silly and icouldn't manage him so my older sister got on him, needless to say he cantered out the gate and she fell off in a puddle!!!
Another time at a xc i came up to a jump, pony stopped but then decided to jump, i fell off in the most pathetic way but my boot was still in the stirrup!!!! my sister also fell off that day and almost got pooed on!
