I aqcuired The Fat Controller and her sister about 18 months ago. her owner was allergic to them having bought them off the breeder. They were about 12 weeks and looked nine weeks.

Brought them home, both had diahrea. Went to vet sorted and vacs started.

The Fat contoller at that time was named Dusty, she had a tortie coat that looked coated in dust, no true colours. She also went in lots of corners in the house and came out covered in dust.

The thing with her was I had a hate relationship with her (I am more of a dog person anyway and got the kittens for OH). At every opportunity she would bite and scratch me. I tried very hard to be nice to her and always ended up pushing her away, having been bitten or scratched, or both. I would have given her away, willingly and let people around me know hoping they would take on this devil cat!

fast forward and she is the best cat I ever owned. She loves her tummy rubbed (which most cats hate)' she sits on me for hours and loves cuddles, she cleans the dog's ears, even when they don't need cleaning, inside and out!
And generally keeps them in order. have you ever seen 2 labs organised by a cat?

She is now called 'The fat Controller' as she runs the house with a paw of iron.

She does unfortunately have a heart murmur, picked up at her annual booster so what ever goes for her is good enough for me. The vet assured me heart murmurs rarely cause any real problems but she should be watched for breathlessness and lethargy.

Her sister, Esther, is black and a lovely girl also and we wouldn't be without either.
