Anyone know what this could be?

I noticed it a couple of days ago, a small fairly flat lump about 2p piece size on the side of his cheek. More noticeable when he is brought in from the field. It is soft and he shows no pain when I squish it. Odd! Any ideas? Or keep an eye on it and if it starts to hurt/gets bigger get the vet out?

Sorry for the very poor photo - the end of his bottom eye lashes point to the lump if you can see it?

And a proper photo of the handsome chap :D

Really impossible to see on photo sorry :(

Reason i can think of for a lump on face would be a tooth abcess.

Although my mare, Red, used to store lumps of grass in her month like she was a hamster! The number of times i thought she had a swelling!! :)

I'd keep an eye on it for a while.

Thanks for the reply. I will try and change the photo to show it better.

I did think perhaps a tooth abscess but also thought he would feel pain if it were?

He does the hamster cheeks!! They were huge today

Sorry for the double post....

Does this make it any clearer? The lump is in the middle of the red circle. Sorry if it's still not visible. I will try and get a better pic tomorrow.

Gosh yes! i see what you mean, how intresting!.........................???????

To tell you the truth......not a clue!

But I do know that i would still just keep an eye on it for a bit because vets cost the earth!! Unless someone else is having a visit or you can be there on a zone day or anything changes, I would just wait and see.

Might be something under the skin!?

Handsome chap by the way.

Glad you can see it too - thought I may be seeing things lol

Someone else suggested on the vet thread about tooth abscesses and his teeth are due at Easter so maybe I should get them checked sooner rather than later. Otherwise I will keep an eye on it!

Thank you :)
