Read in today's newspaper...

Catherine Zeta Jones got fined £9000 and had to serve 200 hours community service for running through a red light and lightly bumping another car.

Ok so then I thought,What does a driver who killed a horse get?

40 hours community service
£250 fine
penalty points.


Where's the sense??

What a sad strange world we live in *shakes head* This countries justice system really does need a complete over haul, some of the punishments they issue are a bloody joke!

thats disgusting! It should be a life times comunity service, £1 million pounds fine, banned from driving.

After a ba***rd killed my mare, the police told me 'they were not taking it too seriously because nobody was hurt.' My son, (adult excellent rider) who was riding had been thrown into the hedge, and so not killed, as he would have been if he came off the other side. Motorist not even done for driving without due care and attention, and I was so distressed I did not even make a fuss.

Annoying, and totally wrong isn't it?

For the fine the driver recieved, was that the death mentioned in H&H a couple of weeks ago? That was about 15mins away from where I live. Didn't know horse or rider, but ARG that driver did a hit and run!
