Funny Scabs

[Bugly]

My mother's 11 year old Jack Russell has come up with strange lumps and bumps all over his head, neck, front legs and back legs (nothing on main body).

They are very similar to patches of mud fever on a horse, however, one on his neck seems very deep rooted and almost looks like a seed, it is black with little bits flaking off.

We started bathing his head with hibiscrub last week. I guess he'll be off to the vet in a few days but does anyone know what these scabs might be, a parasite / fungal / mites?

possible demodex?

hibi wont do much apart from keep it clean...if its demodex he will have bits of hair loss and it will be flaky

only other thing i can think of atm is hives, but that ashould have gone down after a few days...
