I had a very funny friday night moment :D

I'd just finished mucking out so my Dad went to go and get Pops who was tied at the bottom of the yard. As they were coming back up the yard together I noticed that Pops had her headcoller on and the clip from the leadrope still attached but not the rope part which my Dad was holding! Luckily Pops didn't notice she was free to bog off if she wanted and just mooched alongside her slightly incompetent handler :D hehehe

Any more funny stories? :)

friend of mine in his 40's, was letting my 15hh 2yr old nuzzle round his neck and ears, i did tell him to be careful as she may get rough he said 'oh thats ok it sweet' then she got hold of his ear with her teeth she just held it with him squeeling like a pig

My OH had fun this evening with my cob. Went to catch her, managed to get head collar on, great start for him ! even led her back to the stable fine. Asked him to hold her outside her stable for a minute, while i went to get clean straw. Turned around to see OH walking in circles, holding the end of the rope, with maisy following him. the faster he went, the faster she went , circles getting smaller every-time ! should of helped him really, but it was too funny ! She only wanted her carrot !

My Aunt was visiting when my middle son was about 3-4 years old. She was in the paddock, when my ISH wandered over to say hello.

She shot out the gate and closed it but left my son in the paddock. My ISH picked him up by the back of his jumper, and started shaking him. (He was little for his age). That of course frightened my aunt even more, fotunately he soon dropped him and my son was unharmed.

When I first met my OH he was not used to sharp horses (his horse is an absolute saint). He decided to go whoop whoop whoop to see if my horses would trot.... trot?? they went crazy, the two boys jumped out to see him  causing my mare to stick her tail up in the air and do wall of death round the field. I was less than impressed.

Then... much later he was in charge one evening. I just happened to finish earlier than expected so turned up anyway. I very nearly didn't go out to the field, but decided I would go and just check everything had been done to my old gelding's satisfaction

Good job I went as found my mare was missing. Turns out OH had taken a phone call whilst feeding them and while he was on the phone my mare just walked out of the open gate and off into the darkness round landlord's garden  OH would have just gone home and she could have wandered out on to the road. As you might imagine I was less than impressed and my language was pretty

Reminds me of when I was so excited to show my boyfriend at the time me riding my TBx bareback around the feild.

To which he said, "that looks easy" - Grabbed my "wild" chestnut mare who I was in the process of re-backing - hopped on her back, went tanking off up the feild holding onto her mane and popped the 3 ft jump at the top

He had never ridden before  blooming men :p

He was quite chuffed with himself and didnt see what the big deal was :p

Lol these are funny .. My mare is a very 1 person mare and shes not keen on my oh .. So my oh thought hed get some hay and hand feed her so she got used to him ..

When i turned around he was holding some hay like you would a bunch of flowers and my mare simply picking the bits she wanted .. Was funny it looked as if he was praying for her to like him!

love these- I was once asked when I put a picture of a horse plaited up ready for a show on fb...'what happened to the horses hair?'
didn't think my plaiting was that bad... :D
