I'm bored and a bit peed off I can't ride for two weeks so does anyone have a funny story to entertain me? The rate is a minstrel per word! (M&Ms available on request)
The horses where I work make me laugh every day, without fail.
A lot of them are probably you-had-to-be-there moments, but I still smile thinking about them. For example, an old Welsh D (who was a dressage superstar in his day and is the cheekiest horse I know) was in his stable while I was putting his bed down for the night, and I left a bag of shavings next to him while I was doing something else, heard a thud and turned round to find that he'd pushed the bag over with his front leg, and was now stomping on it tentatively to see if it was alive or not.
Then he climbed up onto it with his front feet and peered down at me like "I'm the king of the castle!". He does make me giggle.
He also likes to pull the rugs off his stable door and throw them around if you're not paying enough attention to him.
Out hunting one day I recognised a bloke on a dark horse as 'someone I had accidentally done something bad to a long time ago' (but couldn't remember what!) so spent the day trying to avoid him (as you do!) This was successful for most of the day, until galloping down a disused railway line I got too close behind him and his horse started bucking..somehow (!?) Lucy's reins had got under his horses tail- I have no idea how!!! He just turned round and gave me a WTF look so just had to grovel! I mean HOW did that happen!?
Yearling bobbing for apples lmaooooo! I put some whole apples on the top of Rox's lick, he picked one up in his mouth and dropped it in his auto-matic trough in the stable! He kept trying to get it, and was blowing bubbles in the water and bringing his head up, snorting and going for another bobbing session lol! He gave up in the end and I had to get it out for him lol! xx
When i was pregnant with my daughter(now 4) my son and i were talking and he was asking about babies cant remember fully what it was about but something about the seed being planted and my son turned round to me and said that he had better go and get a small plant pot so he can plant the seed in the pot for the baby to grow
i kinda smiled and said yeah.
He is now 11.
Ok not so funny and a may be had to be there kinda thing.
But hope it has cheered you up.
Know how your feeling i have been pi55ed off the past few days anything irritates me
QR- In relation to the 'bobbing for apples' post, i put a couple of apples in my horses water bucket last winter. It amused him for the first few weeks. Bobbing, getting them and eating them.. Until he got bored and took to tipping the water bucket out all over his floor in order to get the apple. Que one very soggy stable and a very thirsty horse in the morning.

I quote as in my post - "Karma!!!!!" ha ha haaaaaa!
I had a horse who would take a drink of water and then a few minutes later come over to me ,all friendly like. Then drench me with the mouthfull of water he had kept especially for this purpose. He got me every time, and thought it was the best game ever.
