Ellie does a soft whicker when l dismount it`s really nice, my instructor was really amused last night when she done it. She says it was if she was saying you all right mum i`ve been a good girl :). So what funny things do your horse do :)

If you are in the stable grooming or something and he thinks you have done enough or are stood outside my boys stable talking and not paying him any attention he sticks his head in your face and yawns. You can tell its a forced yawn too!!!!!

She sighs when I talk to her for too long :o
She also follows me around the field lifting her leg up 'saying please' trying to demand polos off me. I don't produce polos on tap, horse.

MY OH's horse has been known to steal the neighbours sheep :D Also comes to the front door to say "Hi" in the morning :)

I tie Bentley up outside his stable whilst I'm mucking him out. There is a shelf with brushes etc on it within his reach. Each time I'm near the stable door he helpfully picks up a brush in his mouth and hands it to me. He loves a good pampering!

He also grins at me when I put a load more straw in his stable :o

I discoverd that Mr Arnie likes snuffling my ear, it is very cute, he sort of grooms it :) However last night was talking to my mate over the stable door while he was doing in and I felt teeth! Eep

If you lean over beside Larry doing something near his front feet he will lean his head down and rest his nose on your back, and put the full weight of his head on you so you can't move until he does.

Kneels down with his head in his feedbucket, in the hope that if he looks deeper there may be more food. He'll try to bow while I'm doing rugs up, because if my hands are by his chest I OBVIOUSLY want him to show off his tricks. If he's hungry, he'll come galloping across the field at full peltan doing a silly high pitched whinny the entire way across the field. I could go on...

Not the cutest habit but my horse knows how to take her head collar off. If I leave her tied up she will spend the whole time trying to find away to remove it.

Binky chews the leadrope, and likes to pick up the brushes and plays with them! He also whickers to you when grooming him.

Blossom follows my dog around the field and licks/ grooms him. Poor boy is not too impressed but tolerates it! She also tries to rest her head on the farrier for a nap :o

Amber always neighs when she sees me. Well, okay it's really bucket love, but makes me feel warm inside. She also likes to walk into you, in reverse, when she is after a bum scratch!

Matti likes putting his head in my hands when I'm doing his rug, as he wants a cuddle! He also has this really cute way of cocking his head when watching me.

Gypsy used to do flehmen (sp) after you gave her a treat, and loved those really hot aniseed ball sweets! Sceptre would lick your hands for ages after a treat.

Whether I find it funny depends on my mood and his previous behaviour...but my welsh boy likes to pick things up. Everything and anything, buckets, brushes, boots, jackets, chairs... the list goes on!

Tipsy licks his lips for 10 mins after eating a polo, if I hug him he arches his neck and rests the groove under his jaw on top of my head ( being short has it's advantages) and my favourite doesn't happen often because I normally have my hair tied up at the yard but if I don't, he ruffles my hair! I find it adorable! :)

Bob neighs to everyone if he jumps a clear round.

He pulls the funniest faces if you find an itchy spot - his lips twitch and he wiggles his top lip.

If he's eating hay and you bend over near him he'll rest the hay on your back.

If you give him his mini horslyx and look away he'll pick it up. If it's empty he'll chuck it around and bash it. Video and photo evidence:

My new cobblet is VERY mischievious,he knocks the electric fence down and I put it back up,he plays with it again BUT when he sees me looking he stops and when I go into the field he walks off like butter wouldnt melt in his mouth. He also plays dead. My fav thing is he snuggles into me and closes his eyes.Hes such a sweetie.

I think this might be a habit starting!

One day my friend and I had the horses ready to go back to the field and we started chatting to some of the children at the yard. Hugo eventually rested his chin on my shoulder and went to sleep! Maybe we WERE chatting for a while!!

Now, he rests his head on my shoulder quite often, if he thinks we're keeping him waiting too long ;)

If I am standing near my horse's front she whips round on the spot and points her bum at me for a scratch, I scratch her hip and she bites at the air like a reflex to groom me back :-)

My Spanish chap sucks his sugar lump, polo or carrot for ages. He sticks his ears out sideways & goes into a trance! The TB tips his feed out of his tub and stands in the tub to eat the food!

I forgot to add,if I leave my cobblet tied up,he will find a way to get loose, even if he snaps the rope.Another thing he does if loose in the cow shed,he takes the lid off the two bins (no food in them) and then kicks them over after rooting thru them with his nose. He follows me like a dog:) He loves a snuggle.

My cob loves to scratch his bum and hocks on the wheelbarrow while he is being mucked out. He also loves rubbing his hocks and bum on any gate or wooden fence he can find. He loves it so much he has to throw his head back and show off his lips - funny boy. He also thinks its dead funny to drag me in the feed room when coming back up the yard from the field. He can get in, but the feed room is long and narrow and there are feed bins along each of the walls and he knows I cant squeeze past him.

My mare actually talks back to me... LOL! And especially if I say her name which is "millymoo" also her nostrils twitch so much when she's excited haha

mine likes to drink coke out of the can ; or fanta or anything else that is sweet and fizzy, if your drinking a can near her she looks at you all cute and licks her lips :) she whinnys when you go in the feedroom if shes tied up on the yard and puts on her bestest behaviour face in the hope of getting a feed to a carrot but the funniest and cutest thing they bpoth do is share a stable

The ponys sharing the stable is super cute.
When I first got the shelter, Fidley was very brave and stepped inside and then Tilly stood in front of the entrance. Cue, one pony getting stressed and wanting out and the other not letting her - until I shouted her name and she looked at me, sighed and stepped away - Fidley shot out.
Fidley has a makeshift pen to eat her feed in otherwise Tilly steals it. Tilly stands outside it and pings the electric post.
