Suffering from a major attack of "I'm bored and its the run-up to Christmas and I'd rather be doing anything other than work ...." I go exploring on the internet ... and find a 1/2 brother to my mare by Able Albert eventing in the US - "Silver Surfer". The weird thing is that he looks sooooo like her in the pics - and even weirder is that her yearling Fionn is currently known as the Silver Surfer as he's wandering around in a very smart new silver Bucas turnout rug. Little did we know that his 1/2 uncle (??) goes by the same name!!

(Sorry, very self-indulgent post, but it is almost the Silly Season ....

So excited! I've just discovered some other successful eventing offspring of Able Albert's in the US on the Chronicle of the Horse Forum, and someone who is an "expert" on him! So have PM'd her to see if she has any more info than I do (especially pics, as the only one that seems to exist is the truly dreadful ewe-necked shot of him on AllBreed) .....
