I have awful circulation and often find myself making the choice of not riding, wearing my Uggs and trashing them or riding and excruciating pain. Can anyone recommend warm, fur lined riding boots under £60 or so?
not sure if you were looking for long or short...........but I have some short boots with chaps, I find you can move you feet, ankles, lower leg better than long boots.
ps Robinsons do some great 'muckers' fleece lined - own brand £20
i'm the same as you, i suffer sooooo badly from cold feet (and hands). and live in uggs.
i found some boots that are a bit like fur-lined muckers, but not made specifically for equestrian stuff... think they were cotton traders or something. hang on, i'll see if i can find a link.
i've worn them every day throughout the winter and haven't suffered from cold feet once! so they defo work well. i have ridden in them. they're not riding boots so aren't ideal, but are no worse than normal muckers.
I too have poor circulation & find most boots keep my legs warm but not my feet. Have to say faux fur doesn't keep anything warm. Really need real fur i.e. sheepskin. I wear thermal socks - 1 pair - & thermal boots a half size big so that they're not tight on thicker socks & air can circulate. If you wear 2 prs socks & then boots are tight yr feet will be cold.
I have got the Tuffaboots 2-tone long boots. I wear them with 2 pairs of socks & they really are extremely warm. I use them for dog walking & riding. They are fine for riding & comfy enough to wear for hours walking the Rottie who needs a fair old walk.
The only prob is that the furry bit peeled off the inside of the sole v quickly so has made an irritating fold/lump, and also even tho the person in the shop said they were waterproof from the outset, they jolly well weren't. I went dog walking on a wet verge i.e. not thru knee deep mud etc & my feet got very wet. I now nicwax them frequently.
They really are very warm & comfy & it's worth shopping around as I only paid (I think...) £140 ish for them...
