This is the second time in 3 days I have been bitten!!! On thursday I was bitten by Bean who is always arsey about having rugs changed. She normally just snaps at the air and waves her head round *still gets told off* but on thursday night she caught me off guard and bit my hip as I was bending over to fasten her belly straps and yes she got a good telling off! Tonight I just went out to check the horses were warm enough and my little 14.2hh has just bitten my thigh quite badly, 15 mins later and the bruising is already coming out. I was just checking her rugs and she went for me! So not impressed, was half tempted to rip her rugs off for the night lol and see how funny that was! *she also got a good telling off*

Just got in late from my second job that I need to pay for their keep, I'm shattered and sitting in here in pain wondering why I bother with it all!

Ouch, poor you!

I got bitten by Taz once when I was changing his rugs, I went apeshit and chased him round the stable with a shavings fork [didn't hit him though] and he never tried it again lol!

I've had my old horse 17 years and she still tries to bite me! She doesn't like alot of fuss, just likes to be left alone. Like yours she tries at rug changing/check times. She's only got me a couple of times but it b----y hurts doesn't it!

My young TB is a bugger for that, so now I tie him up for everything, he is quite terratorial (sp?) but he tries his best to grab a chunk of flesh! My mare absent mindedly nips a little bit when you do the front of her rugs.
But yes I think its the weather that makes us wonder why we do it?

Hmmm, not sure why I am still sitting here feeling sorry for myself. Have to leave for dressage early tomorrow and still not looked at the tests! Wooops

Good luck in the dressage
