Hi guys,
I used a Furminator on my hairy boy today (he is shedding his summer coat at a fantastic rate!) and it is AMAZING!!
Just wanted to share and recommend it to fellow hairy owners!

lots of people seem to recommend them

i bought one and it was the biggest pile of rubbish ever! Luckily i could send it back as it wasnt cheap :o

I love mine-trouble is, I can use it for twenty minutes on each dog and still be getting fur out! It sort of upsets me cos I can't stop! (Slight OCD!:o)

You need to use a furminator now??????? Star is losing a few hairs, and turning from brown to black, but to be moulting at that rate?

Aaah yes Janette welcome to the world of the furry native/cobby type. As soon as the longest day has passed we start moulting and we are in peak moult at the moment! First clip usually has to happen in September. On the plus side we normally have our full summer pants in by March!!

But Star is a hairy Coloured Native , a DalesX....... She still had clip lines in June :( Having said that - She WILL need clipping before September! It's just amount of moult that stunned me.

Recommended by Sooty I did the retriever tonight, I got as much out of him to make another full sized dog!
Don't like the rough feeling it leaves on the hair though, I prefer the silky top coat, so may just use it on his lower parts next time.
Amazing tool !
